SMS Text Messages Not Received
For teams on the Basic plan or higher, users can opt to receive alerts as text messages. If you are expecting to receive SMS text message alerts but are not, follow the troubleshooting steps below:
- Verify the message type
- The only message type that can be received as a text is an alert sent from the Messages tab. Double check that the message you received was sent as an alert. Score updates, team chat, game and event updates, line up changes, etc are only sent as push notifications and therefore cannot be received as texts. If you have verified that the message sent was an alert, go to step 2.
- Check that you are set up to receive text messages
- To receive alerts as texts, your mobile number must be entered and enabled to receive texts on the roster, and have push notifications for alerts toggled off in the TeamSnap mobile app.
- If you are receiving an alert message as a push notification and email then you are not set up to receive text messages. Follow these steps to receive alerts as text messages.
