Add Images to Email Messages

When drafting an email message you have the option to add images stored online using a direct link to the image file.

  1. With your email open in draft mode, click the image icon.

  2. Enter the image link in the Source field.
    1. You can store images on sites like Google Photos, Imgur, and Dropbox to obtain image links. Right-click the desired image and select Copy Image Address to get the image link.
    2. If your image link does not work, check to see whether it ends with an image file format like .jpg or .png. If not, you can right-click the image and select Open Image in New Tab to get the correct URL for the image.

  3. Enter a text description of the image into the Alternative Description field for accessibility purposes.

  4. Optional: Adjust the dimensions for the image in the Width and Height fields (these fields will be auto-filled with the original image dimensions when you enter the link).
    1. Optional: Click the lock icon to unlock the image ratio (the proportions between the width and height entered). Ratio lock enables you to change either the height or width and have the image automatically adjust to keep the proportional dimensions.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Optional: Once added, you can click and drag the blue squares on the image corners to adjust the image size within the message body.
