Add Images to Email Messages

Images can be added to an email by utilizing the image upload modal or by adding the image directly to the email editor.

To update from the image upload modal

With your email open in draft mode, click the image icon.

You can either upload from the Source Field using an image URL, or by uploading an image

To insert by Source:

  1. Enter the image link in the Source field.
  2. You can store images on sites like Google Photos, Imgur, and Dropbox to obtain image links. Right-click the desired image and select Copy Image Address to get the image link.
  3. If your image link does not work, check to see whether it ends with an image file format like .jpg or .png. If not, you can right-click the image and select Open Image in New Tab to get the correct URL for the image.

  4. Enter a text description of the image into the Alternative Description field for accessibility purposes.

Optional: Adjust the dimensions for the image in the Width and Height fields (these fields will be auto-filled with the original image dimensions when you enter the link).

Optional: Click the lock icon to unlock the image ratio (the proportions between the width and height entered). Ratio lock enables you to change either the height or width and have the image automatically adjust to keep the proportional dimensions.

  1. Click Save.

Technical Things and Best Practices

  • In TeamSnap for Business: this applies to:
    • Messaging at the Organization level
    • Messaging at the Season level
    • Messaging at the Division level
  • In TeamSnap for Clubs & Leagues, this applies to:
    • Messaging at the root level (top level) of the organization
    • Messaging at the division level within the organization
  • Emails have a maximum file size of 25MB
  • Once an image is dropped directly into the email body, it will present immediately within the email. The image does not resize. If you add a large image into the email body by any method it will present as the original image size which may require resizing on the administrators part
  • Copying and pasting images from excel
  • This does work in some instances or with similar software products, but it’s not fully functional so it is best to add images to a table after it is created in the email
  • Supported file types that can be used for drag and drop:
