WePay Payment Error Code Legend

 

Do you have a “Failed” status on your registration summary?  Don’t worry, here’s a translation of the errors and some recommended next steps.

Note: These error codes apply only to TeamSnap Payments (powered by Wepay) transactions. They do not apply to PayPal transactions.

ERROR   RESOLUTION

1001 – 1015: We’re sorry! We had an issue processing your payment.

 

A system error occurred when trying to process the payment. Contact support with the error code. We’ll get this issue fixed as soon as we can to get you rolling again.

2001: The address entered does not match the credit card billing address. Please try again or use another credit card.   This error is coming from the credit card provider. Make sure the zip code and/or billing address is the same as the billing address for the credit card. If that doesn’t work, try another credit card.

2002: The credit card entered is not supported. Please use Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or Diners Club.

  TeamSnap Payments only accepts the cards listed in the Payments tab. Ask the registrant to use one of those card types. If that is not possible, we recommend the registrant pay with check or cash in person.
2003: The issuing bank indicated that the credit card is not supported. Please use another credit card.   This error is coming from the credit card provider. Ask the registrant to try another card or contact their credit card provider for additional information.
2004: The credit card entered could not be charged. Please use another card or contact your credit card company.   This error is coming from the credit card provider. Ask the registrant to try another card or to contact their credit card provider for additional information.

2005: The payment method used does not have sufficient funds. Please use another credit card or contact the issuing bank.

2006: The credit card entered has been lost or stolen. Please contact your credit card company.   This error is coming from the credit card provider. Ask the registrant to try another card or to contact their credit card provider for additional information.
2007: The credit card entered has expired. Please use another credit card or contact your credit card company.   This error is coming from the credit card provider. Ask the registrant to try another card or to contact their credit card provider for additional information.
2008: Invalid credit card information was entered. Please try again or use another credit card.   Some of the card data entered was invalid (CVV, expiration date, card number, or name on card). Ask the registrant to validate & try again. If the error persists, the registrant should try another card or contact their credit card provider.
2009: The credit card entered could not be charged. Please try again or use another credit card.   This is a general error for all other credit card errors. Ask the registrant to try submitting payment again or use another card. If the error persists, the registrant should contact their credit card provider.
3004: TeamSnap Payments account setup is incomplete. Please contact your commissioner to complete payment.   WePay account setup information is incomplete. You must complete the KYC and bank account information within 14 days. Go to the Payments tab, click “Manage my WePay account” button. Complete the WePay KYC and/or bank account setup. Ask the registrant to complete payment.
