User Roles and Permissions for Website Builder
Site administrators can add administrators and subscribers to their TeamSnap website. Website Builder utilizes WordPress' user roles, and most organizations primarily use the administrator, editor, and author roles.
WordPress user roles
Administrator - They can do all the things. Administrators can perform all administrative tasks within their site.
Editor - They can do most things. Editors can publish, edit, or delete any page or post, including those labeled “private” and the posts of other users. They cannot activate plugins or alter the overall look of the site.
Author - They can create, publish, and edit their own posts and access the Media Library. And that's it. Excellent choice for a coach's corner or specific team blog.
Contributor - They can write, edit, and delete their own unpublished posts. Their content must be reviewed and published by an Admin or Editor.
Subscriber - These types of users can only manage their site profile. This is primarily used for blogging sites, and is usually left unused for Website Builder sites, though it's still available.
Additional user roles from plugins
You may see additional user roles available when adding a new user if you have certain plugins activated on your site.
Yoast SEO
SEO editor - Access to Yoast SEO metabox features. Does not get access to Yoast settings in the admin menu, but does get access to the redirect manager in the admin menu.
SEO manager - Access to all SEO capabilities, settings, and features.
WP Store Locator
Store Locator Manager - Able to manage locations without the ability to modify the WP Store Locator plugin's settings.
