AYSO Export for Import

Using the registration feature in TeamSnap, administrators can gather and export information from participants that can then be imported to AYSO. 

Part 1: Set Required Fields

1. Log into TeamSnap
2. Enter your club or league under the My Leagues section of the Dashboard screen
3. Click Registration tab
4. Click Edit for the appropriate form
5. Click Form Overview button (if not already there)
6. Click the change link to switch all of the following fields to Required if they aren't already:
   1. Player Info
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Address
      • City
      • State/Province
      • Zip/Postal Code
      • Birthdate
      • Gender (B or G)
      • Phone Number (no spaces, dashes, dots, or slashes)
   2. Parent Info 
      • Parent 1 First Name
      • Parent 1 Last Name
      • Parent 1 Relation (Father, Mother, or Guardian)
7. Click Form Fields 
8. Click +Add New Field 
9. Enter custom field name Membership Year
10. Select the section of the form where you would like it to be displayed
11. Select the Text field type
12. Enter a tooltip (optional) - short tip text displayed on hover over ? next to field name
13. Enter help text (optional) - longer tip text displayed on hover over ? next to field name
14. Skip validation selection
15. Check all that apply
16. Click Save
17. Repeat steps 8-16 for the following fields:
    1. Emergency Phone
    2. Emergency Contact
    3. Parent 1 Address/City/State/Zip
18. Double check the AYSO Player Upload Template to ensure you are including all the fields that you'd like to import to AYSO after registrations are complete.

Part 2: Exporting from TeamSnap and Matching AYSO Requirements

Once registration is complete, you can export data from TeamSnap:

1. Log into TeamSnap
2. Enter your club or league under the My Leagues section of the Dashboard screen
3. Click Members tab
4. Click Export Members
5. Open the file that is emailed to you
6. Open AYSO Upload template
   • Copy+paste the data from your TeamSnap export file into appropriate AYSO Player Upload template's required columns

     Contact 1 Name (Needs to be split into Parent1FirstName and Parent1LastName columns)	------->	PrimaryParentFN
     Hint: Use your spreadsheet program's column-to-text/split-to-text function	------->	PrimaryParentLN
     Contact 1 Address (Needs to be split Parent address columns)	------->	PrimaryParentStreet
     Hint: Use your spreadsheet program's column-to-text/split-to-text function	------->	PrimaryParentCity
     	------->	PrimaryParentState
     	------->	PrimaryParentZip
     	------->	PrimaryParentRelationship

1. Save your updated AYSO Upload file in excel format

Part 3: Import into the AYSO System

You should be all set to import your file to AYSO.
