Import Tournament Schedule

Before importing you'll need to make sure you have a .csv file of the schedule ready to go. The import file data can be in any order when importing a file. You can import games for pool play or for existing brackets. You can use the tournaments schedule import template or create your own CSV file.  If you use your own file, you will be able to select which field in our system links to which field in your file.  

  1. Click Manage below the tournament event in the organizational admin view
  2. Click the Schedule tab
  3. Click the Import button in the upper right corner
  4. Click Choose File and select your import file 
  5. Select the Has Headers checkbox if your file contains column headers
  6. Click Next
  7. Map the data columns from your file to our fields
    1. For each column in your file select the column in the drop-down that your data should map to.  If we don't have one of your fields then select Ignore.
  8. Click Next
  9. Map venue import data to existing Tournaments venues in the Mapped Value drop-down 
    1. Optional: Create new venue to map to by clicking Create New Venue
    2. Enter venue address
    3. Click Save & Close 
    4. The imported venues that match the newly created venue will auto-map and disappear from the mapping list
  10. Map division import data to existing Tournaments divisions in the Mapped Value drop-down
    1. Optional: Create a new division by selecting Create New in the drop-down or click Select 'Create New' for All button to create new divisions for all imported divisions
    2. Select division gender in the drop-down that appears
    3. Click Create New Divisions button at the bottom of the division list
    4. The imported divisions that match the newly created division will auto-map and disappear from the mapping list
  11. Map team import data to existing Tournaments teams in the Mapped Value drop-down
    1. Optional: Create a new team by selecting Create New in the drop-down or click Select 'Create New' for All button to create new teams for all imported teams
    2. Click Create New Teams button at the bottom of the  team  list
    3. The imported teams that match the newly created teams will auto-map and disappear from the mapping list
  12. Map game type import data to existing Tournaments game type in the Mapped Value drop-down
  13. Map bracket import data to existing Tournaments brackets in the Mapped Value drop-down
    Note: If you use brackets you will need to go into the event after importing and source your brackets
    1. Optional: Create a new bracket by selecting Create New in the drop-down or click Select 'Create New' for All button to create new brackets for all imported brackets
    2. Select bracket type from the drop-down that appears
    3. Click Create New Brackets button at the bottom of the  team  list
    4. The imported brackets that match the newly created teams will auto-map and disappear from the mapping list
  14. Click Next once all mapping issues have been cleared
  15. Preview your import
    1. Click Back to correct any incorrectly mapped items
  16. Click Next
  17. Import will begin and you will see each item switch from Pending to Success
    1. If any errors are returned, make the appropriate changes and reimport the file
  18. Click Finished
