Set Up and Manage Seasons in TeamSnap Tournaments

Note: Administrative actions like managing settings in TeamSnap Tournaments can only be completed on the web at tournaments.teamsnap.com.
  1. Log into TeamSnap Tournaments
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Seasons
  4. Click Add Season
  5. Enter season details
    1. Season Name 
    2. Sport - select from the available sports options. If your sport is not listed, choose Other
      1. Organizations with multiple sports will need to set seasons up by sport. For example, a Spring Season set up for softball will not appear as a choice for an event set up for baseball or soccer.
    3. Season Start Date 
    4. Season End Date
    5. Optional: Track Points - select Yes to turn points tracking for your season on. Doing so will activate the fields for the next two steps
      1. If Yes, enter the desired number in Minimum Number of Tournaments to Qualify for Points Standings
      2. If Yes, enter desired points in the Season Point System section fields
  6. Click Save

Add Events to Season

Once complete, you will have the option to select one of the seasons you have added when creating a tournament event. Leagues and tournament events that fall within the active season dates can be added to the season following the steps below.

In Season Settings

  1. Log into TeamSnap Tournaments
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Seasons
  4. Click Add/View Events for the desired season

  5. Click to select the events you'd like to add to the season
  6. Click Save

In Event Details

  1. Log into TeamSnap Tournaments
  2. Click Tournaments (League events can only be added to a season under the Season Settings using the steps in the section above)
  3. Click Edit for the event you'd like to add to the season
    1. For new events you will have the option to select a season from the available choices once the sport has been selected
  4. Select the desired season from the Seasons dropdown
    1. Only seasons set up for the sport the event has been created for will be available to choose from
  5. Click Save

View Season Standings

If you have set your season up to track points and show standings, you can view the standings as the season goes on once game scores have begun to be entered.

  1. Log into TeamSnap Tournaments
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Seasons
  4. Click Standings
  5. Click Close when finished

Promote Standings

  1. Log into TeamSnap Tournaments
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click Seasons
  4. Click Promote Standings
  5. Click Copy to Clipboard for a link to the season standings that can be sent out, or for the embed code to display the season standings into your website
  6. Click Close when finished
