This article covers all things direct messaging. So, what is direct messaging? It’s like our team chat feature, but with one person at a time, or with a specific group of selected recipients!

You can direct message (DM) any roster contact that is a TeamSnap user (someone who has accepted their invitation to the team and has installed the most recent app version). You can add multiple recipients to create a group message. Organization commissioners can DM within teams if they have been added to the team as a roster member, and also have the ability to disable direct messaging for their organization.

Note: If a contact does not appear in the list of possible recipients, they may not have the latest app update installed on their phone or haven’t accepted their team invitation.
