How to Use the Statistics Feature

Note: Statistics can be managed by roster members with manager access from a web or mobile browser. This feature is currently read-only in the mobile apps.

Statistics Tab Setup

Note: This can only be done on the web or mobile browser, not the mobile apps.

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click the preferred option for starting your Statistics tab
    • Use the [sport] Preset: Depending upon the sport, the system may offer the option to use a pre-configured standard set of stats
    • Import From Another Team: Option to copy statistics set-up from another team you own
    • Start with a Blank Slate: Opens the tab with no statistics set up, allowing you to configure the statistics for your team

Create a New Statistic

Note: This can only be done on the web or mobile browser, not the mobile apps.

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click Manage Stats
  5. Click New Statistic
  6. On the New Statistic screen, complete the details

    1. Full Name of Statistic
    2. Acronym for Statistic
    3. Formula (optional)
    4. Stat Group (optional)
      • After first stat group is created, click drop-down menu and New Stat Group to create new stat group 
    5. Precision
    6. Rounding
    7. Percentage
    8. Show Zero
    9. Stat Ranking
    10. Top Stat
    11. Private Stat
      • Check this box to make the statistic hidden from players and only viewable by managers 
    12. Team Stat
      • Check this box to make the statistic applicable to the team as a whole, rather than to individual members
     
     
     
     
     
     
  7. Click Save and Create Another to create another stat, or Save when you are finished creating stats

Enter Stats

Note: This can only be done on the web or mobile browser, not the mobile apps.

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click Enter Stats

  5. Click the game that stats will be entered for

    Not seeing the game listed that you want to enter stats for? Double check the even in the Schedule tab to be sure that you haven't inadvertently entered the game as an event. Events are not displayed in the Statistics tab. If it is entered as a game, has the game already occurred? Games do not show up in the Statistics screen until after the game time.

  6. Click Edit in the Manager column for the player you will be entering statistics for
  7. Complete stat fields for the player for that game or check the "[player] did not play in this game" box to exclude them from the stats for that game
  8. Click Save to finish entering stats or Save and Next or Save and Previous to continue entering stats for other players 

Manage Stats

Note: This can only be done on the web or mobile browser, not the mobile apps.

Individual statistics and stat groups can be edited, deleted, and reorganized from their respective views. Here's how:

Edit

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click Manage Stats

  5. Click Stats List or Stat Groups

  6. Click Edit next to the statistic or stat group that you'd like to make changes to
  7. Make changes
  8. Click Save

Delete

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click Manage Stats

  5. Click Stats List or Stat Groups

  6. Click Delete next to the statistic or stat group that you'd like to delete
  7. Click OK to confirm deletion

Note: Deleting a stat group with stats deletes the stat group only, stats within that group will simply be ungrouped. Deletions are irreversible.

Reorder

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click Manage Stats

  5. Click Stats List or Stat Groups


  6. Based on above selection, click Reorder Statistics or Reorder Groups



  7. Click and drag items into desired order

  8. Click Done

View Stats on Web

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click the view preference
    • Stats Leaders: displays members with the top statistics
    • Player Stats: displays members with statistics, which can be filtered by stat group
    • Game Stats: displays games with statistics, which can be filtered by stat group
    • Team Stats: displays statistics that have the Team Stat selection checked

View Stats on Mobile

Need to view stats on the go? No problem! Statistics can be viewed on the TeamSnap iOS and Android mobile apps. 

Note: This feature is currently read-only in the mobile apps and must be edited on the web or mobile browser. 

iOS    

  1. Tap the TeamSnap app icon
  2. Log in if needed
  3. Tap your team name
  4. Tap Statistics 
  5. Tap stats view preference
    • Players: displays player statistics
    • Games: displays game statistics

Android   

  1. Tap the TeamSnap app icon
  2. Log in if needed
  3. Tap your team name
  4. Tap menu icon
  5. Tap Statistics
  6. Tap stats view preference
    • Leaders: displays statistics leaders
    • Players: displays player statistics
    • Games: displays game statistics
  7. Tap drop-down to change stats filtering 
    • All Statistics
    • Offensive
    • Goalies
  8. Tap information icon to view Stats Definitions

Update Stat Leaders

Stat leaders are updated when stats are entered and saved for a new game. If the Top Stat box is checked when a new statistic is created, the stat leaders view will be updated accordingly. Existing statistics can be edited to change Top Stat status.

Reset Statistics 

Note: Resetting statistics deletes all statistics and statistics data. Performing this action will return you to the statistics tab set up screen.

  1. Log into TeamSnap.com on the web or mobile browser
  2. Click your team name in the My Teams section of your My Teams and Leagues dashboard
  3. Click the Statistics tab
  4. Click Reset Stats
  5. Read the warning
  6. To confirm and proceed with the reset, enter your team name
  7. Click Yes, Reset My Stats
