*This template will not work for team-level imports.

Before importing

✓ Ensure all divisions and teams are set up in TeamSnap.

✓ Add external (non-league) opponents.

✓ Set up locations in the organization-level Schedule tab.

✓ Check accuracy: Ensure team names, external opponent names, and locations in the import file match the spelling in TeamSnap (case-sensitive).

✓ Tidy formatting: Remove any blank rows, columns, and extra blank spaces in the import file.

Formatting guidelines

  • The first row serves as column headings for mapping data. Ensure column headings match the schedule's fields for proper import.
  • Date Format: MM/DD/YYYY; adjust Team Settings accordingly.
  • For international date formats, switch to MM/DD/YYYY before importing and revert after completion.
  • Start/End Time: HH:MM AM/PM.
  • Arrival Time: Minutes prior to start time (e.g., 30).

Importing steps

  1. TeamSnap for Business: Navigate to the program then the season that you will be importing the schedule for.
  2. TeamSnap for Clubs and Leagues: Click the Schedule tab.
  3. Access the Schedule tab and click Schedule Imports.
  4. Click Upload Schedule from File.

  5. Click Choose File, select the file from your computer.
  6. Choose league-controlled or team-controlled events based on your preference.
    1. League-controlled (box unchecked) games and events are visible to participating teams, but game results can only be entered at the team-level if permitted in the organization's Settings tab
    2. Team-controlled (box checked) grants team administrators the authority to edit games/events and enter game results. These events are showcased across the Schedule tab at all levels but can only be edited at the team level. Adjustments made to an event within a team involving an opposing team from the same organizatin will only affect the team where the change was made.

  7. Click Continue then Create All Events.
