Add a Team to Your Account
Need to add a new team to your existing TeamSnap account? No problem! We're here to help you keep everything straight all from one account, whether it's by joining an additional team as a roster member or creating an additional team that you manage.

Where to do this:
Join a New Team
Anytime you need access to a new team, you will need an invitation to join that team. If you do not have one, you will need to reach out to the team manager for access. Once the invitation has been sent you will either have it auto-accepted by the system (for existing accounts with invitations sent from within a team) or you will need to accept it:
- Click the Join button in your email invitation
- Enter your TeamSnap account credentials to sign in
- The new team invitation will be accepted under your existing account
If you believe the system auto-accepted your invitation for your existing account but are still not seeing the team, try logging out of TeamSnap and log back in to refresh the information. If you continue to have any trouble, please reach out to our support team.
Create a New Independent Team
Need to create a new independent team (i.e. not associated with a sports organization in TeamSnap) under your account? TeamSnap makes it easy to do from our web and mobile apps. Please note that TeamSnap bills per team, not account, so if you own multiple teams you will need to select a billing plan for each new team (the Free plan is always available to select).
Create an Independent Team (web)
Who can do this:
- Roster Members
- Team Managers
- Team Owners
- Commissioners
- Organization Owners
Where to do this:
- Log into teamsnap.com
- Option 1:
- Hover over the account button
- Click Create a New Team
- Option 2:
- Click the Create New Team or Group button on My Teams section of the TeamSnap dashboard
- Click the Create New Team or Group button on My Teams section of the TeamSnap dashboard
- Follow the prompts to fill out the information for your new team
Create an Independent Team (mobile)
Who can do this:
- Roster Members
- Team Managers
- Team Owners
- Commissioners
- Organization Owners
Where to do this:
- Open the TeamSnap app
- Tap to open the team selection list
- iOS: Tap Create New Team
- Android: Tap the floating orange plus sign button in the bottom right of the screen
- Follow the prompts to fill out your team information
Create a New Sports Organization Team
Who can do this:
- Roster Members
- Team Managers
- Team Owners
- Commissioners
- Organization Owners
Where to do this:
- Click the division name where teams will be added (If divisions are not being used skip this step)
- Click Add Teams
- Enter team name(s) and other available team information
- If available, enter the team owner name and email
- Teams can be created without the owner name and email
- If owner name and email are entered here, they will automatically be assigned as the team owner in your team list. Otherwise, a team owner whose member profile is added at a later time will need to have an accepted team invitation before they can be assigned as the team owner.
- Click Add More Teams to generate additional team fields
- Click Continue when finished adding teams
- Choose whether to send team owner invitations or not
- If coach/team owner information was entered, you will be given the option to send invitations to join right away or to wait and send invitations later
- Click Yes, Send the Invitations to send invites right away
- Click No, Wait Until Later to skip this step so you can send the invites at a later time
- If coach/team owner information was entered, you will be given the option to send invitations to join right away or to wait and send invitations later
