For Coaches & Team Managers
Welcome to TeamSnap! While it’s perfectly cool to set your team up on your mobile device, we recommend getting started on our web app, then managing the team on mobile afterward.
Step 1: Jump for Joy
Certainly not mandatory, but always appropriate for happy times.
Step 2: Enter Your Team Information
Just follow the prompts to get started. You’ll enter info such as your team name, your sport, your location and more.
Step 3: Add Players to Your Roster
Next, you’ll see this spiffy screen:
Enter your players’ names and preferred emails in the appropriate boxes. When you’re ready, scroll down to the bottom and make sure that the box next to Send invitations to join team is checked.
If you’ve got all your roster members entered, click the blue button labeled Save and Continue in the bottom right hand corner. Your team invitation will be sent to the email addresses you entered.
Pro Tip: If you don’t want to enter player info manually, you can skip this step and then import your roster from a file at a later time.
Step 4: Invite Additional Coaches and Team Parents
The next thing you’ll see is a little pop-up box:
Here’s your chance to recruit some assistance. Enter the name and email address of someone who’s helping with administrative tasks, such as adding events to the schedule or inviting more players to the team. When you’re ready, click Send Invite. You’ll be able to add even more helpers later on.
Step 5: Schedule Your First Game
Here you’ll want to enter information for your first game, including the field name, location, date, time and more.
Pro Tip: If you enter a location address, your players will get directions to the field from their favorite mobile GPS app. We highly recommend it!
Another Pro Tip: Alternatively, you can skip this step and import your schedule from a file at a later time.
If you’re all set, click Save and Continue to proceed.
Step 6: Select Your Team Settings
Just check off all the relevant information, select the team age group and add any other information that applies.
Step 7: Upload a Team Logo
Just click that little Choose File button, select a file from your computer and upload. For best results, we recommend choosing a PNG file.

A Couple More Things to Know:
Add Assignments for Each Game and Practice
Need a scorekeeper for your first game? Whatever assignments you have, head over to the Assignments tab to create them. Just write in your tasks for each game, then assign them to specific team members or leave them up for volunteers to claim.
